RF Online Next

Complete Beginner Guide · Global Version

RF Online Next is a sci-fi MMORPG where three factions battle for resources and territories. The game offers a unique class-switching system (Biosuits), free flight, and giant MAU mechs. This guide will help you get started and avoid common mistakes.

1. Faction & Class: Choose Wisely

Faction Selection (Irreversible)

When creating a character, you choose one of three factions. You cannot change it later — only by creating a new character.

FactionStyleBest For
BellatoTechnology, mech control, point controlThose who love strategy and mechanized units
CoraMagic, summons, support. Summoner is one of the strongest classesMagic lovers and flexible playstyles
AccretiaHeavy infantry, powerful physical damage. Destroyer is excellent DPSThose who prefer raw power and direct combat
Your faction determines your allies and enemies in the open world. Consider who you want to play with and the server balance.

Biosuit System — 7 Classes in One Character

Instead of being locked to one class, you can switch between 7 Biosuits. However, early on focus on 1–2 main suits — resources are limited, and spreading them thin weakens your character.

ClassRoleFeaturesFor Beginners
PunisherMelee DPSSimple, durable, high damage⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
CypherRanged / ControlTechno-magic, keeps distance⭐⭐⭐⭐
DreadnoughtHeavy HybridBalance of attack and defense⭐⭐⭐⭐
EnforcerTankDefense and survival in PvP⭐⭐⭐
TechnicianSupport / HealerEssential in groups, slower solo progress⭐⭐
PhantomAssassinHigh mobility, stealth, but fragile⭐⭐
ArbiterMelee/Mid HybridForce attacks⭐⭐⭐
Recommendation: Start with Punisher or Dreadnought — they're forgiving and give you a solid foundation to learn the mechanics.

2. Core Mechanics: Flight, Mechs & Companions

Free Flight & Aerial Combat

Press Space twice to take off. Flight consumes energy, and you'll land when it runs out. Mastering aerial maneuvers is key to PvP success.

MAU Mechs (Sacred Weapons)

Giant battle machines with devastating firepower. Important: Don't invest too many resources into mechs early on — focus on your character's gear first.

Rovers (Companions)

Companions that provide buffs and combat assistance. Quality ranges from Common (white) to Mythic (red). They boost experience and grant active abilities.

3. Leveling Route: 1–150

Golden Rule: Main story quests give ~90% of your experience. Follow them until you hit a wall. If stuck, go farm mobs.

5. Character Progression: Priorities

Resources are limited — invest wisely:

  1. Character Level — gives the most stats. Aim for level 58 to unlock all systems.
  2. Gear & Enhancement:
    • +1–+3 — 100% success, go for it.
    • +4–+5 — moderate.
    • Aim for +8 on all gear — unlocks bonus stats. +9+ is risky (downgrade on failure).
  3. Collections — register found items. They give permanent stat bonuses. Prioritize Attack, Accuracy, and Defense.
  4. Skills — upgrade to +9 (no downgrade before this point). +4, +8, +12 unlock additional effects.
  5. Combat Components (unlock at 50) — aim for a full Legendary set.

6. Common Beginner Mistakes

  • Constantly switching classes — pick one main and stick with it.
  • Investing in MAU mechs early — save it for level 100+.
  • Ignoring faction chat and guilds — social connections are crucial in this game.
  • Skipping flight practice — without maneuverability, you'll lose in PvP.
  • Farming mobs that are too strong — farm mobs you can kill quickly.
  • Skipping field bosses — even just "tagging" a boss gives you participation rewards.

7. Quick First-Day Action Plan

  1. Choose your faction and main Biosuit (recommended: Punisher or Dreadnought).
  2. Follow the main story to level 30 (don't get distracted).
  3. At 30+, start daily quests and "Deep Chasm" runs.
  4. Join a guild — unlocks guild buffs and support.
  5. By level 58, you'll have all major systems unlocked.
  6. Remember: +8 gear is your first major milestone.
